Carol's Homemade Guacamole

Friends say it's the best they've ever had, we'll let you be the judge

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 Avocados with soft ends, NOT soft on the sides (or else your avocado may be too ripe and your guacamole will have a smoky, less flavorful taste)

  • 1/2 to 1 jalapeño with seeds removed, add to taste

  • 1-2 limes juiced (lemons can be substituted but if you are going for that option, use less juice than if using limes)

  • 2-3 cloves fresh garlic finely chopped

  • Salt (about 1 tsp)

  • Pepper (about 1/2 tsp)

  • Garlic Powder (about 1 tsp)

  • Chili Powder (about 1 tsp)

  • Cumin (about 1 tsp)

  • Fresh Cilantro (chopped, 1 cup)

Combine together while keeping some chunks in the avocado. Avocados vary in flavor depending on the season or variety, so you may need to add more seasonings than what the recipe calls for. Serve immediately to hungry campers with corn chips or raw veggies. And don't forget to have your camping tablecloth or LITOCLOTH set to wipe up any guacamole spills.
